Opening reception Friday March 7, 2008, 7-9pm

Masks have two main purposes; to conceal the identity of the wearer usually representing another person or creature and used as a form of protection on job sites and in sports. The masks in this exhibit come from a variety of local and regional collections. The largest number of masks are on loan from the University Museum at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
